Visiting Cabo San Lucas is a fun and relaxing vacation experience that is sure to help you unwind while you enjoy the beautiful landscapes where the crystal waters of the Sea of Cortez meet the turquoise waves of the Pacific. Recently, I visited Villa del Palmar Cabo and enjoyed the beautiful views of Medano Beach and El Arco (the arch) with the fun activities offered at the resort. Please read along for highlights of the activities that I participated in during this trip.
Massage at the Desert Spa: In my opinion, no vacation is complete without a relaxing massage in paradise. I received a signature massage in the spa that utilized techniques to promote complete relaxation. This experience was beautifully complimented by my use of the hydrotherapy areas afterwards, which I highly recommend that you experience during your next Cabo vacation.
Club Dance & Step Class: Anywhere there is music, I am drawn to the scene. In this fun class by the pool, the activities team taught everyone how to dance their favorite song “Cest La Vie,” all while maintaining their vacation smiles.
Pool Time: Soak up the sun in a lounge chair with your favorite snack or drink in hand. My poolside favorites here are always the tacos and guacamole as they are delicious and offer a taste of the local area.
Pool Volleyball: Bump, set and spike your way through a refreshing pool workout as you meet new friends and have some fun in the sun.
Beach Relaxation: With the waves lapping in the background, the wind gently blowing and the sun shining down on me I enjoyed a peaceful walk on the beach looking out at El Arco. Walking on the beach is always the perfect way for me to clear my mind and enjoy the beauty of this tropical location.
Water Aerobics: I got my groove on with high-energy music as the activities team led us in a series of low-impact exercises. This was a fun way to stay in shape during vacation and the upbeat ambience of the class allows everyone to laugh and meet new friends.
Cooking Class: I took two cooking classes during my stay and learned how to make tortillas from scratch and homemade ceviche. The classes were held at Neptune Restaurant and gave us time to work with the chefs on crafting our dishes that we ate afterwards. It was a fun and hands on way to learn a few new cooking tricks to take back home!
Kitchen Tour: I toured the restaurant kitchens, met the chefs and watched the chefs create a few signature dishes in this fun and interactive behind the scenes tour.
Mexican Fiesta Theme Night: I savored a delectable Mexican food buffet while watching the Activities Team perform dances from all over Mexico. This was a fun way to spend the evening and learn about the different regions of Mexico.
Fantasy Show: As a child I loved Disney movies so I found it very entertaining to watch the Activities team bring a variety of Disney movies to life in this musical performance.
Mamma Mia Theme Night: Get ready to sing along to this popular Broadway Musical as you enjoy a traditional buffet dinner.
My visit to Cabo was a relaxing experience filled with many fun activities. The resort staff does a wonderful job at keeping all members and guests engaged in activities that fit their interests. If you want to have fun and enjoy the beautiful coastal and desert views, Cabo is the ideal destination to do so.

I agree the Taco Bar is the best! It’s a shame that they are not open in the evening for dinner anymore! It was nice before to have a place that you could get a light dinner at the Taco Bar. I hope they re-evaluate and change it back to be open in the evening!
