Member Sandra Rowe Visits Cabo

Member Travel Experience Written by Sandra Rowe

Danny and I decided to risk flying for the first time since COVID to our home-away-from-home at beautiful Villa del Arco, Cabo San Lucas, for ten days in September.  Coming from Arkansas, we flew American Airlines through DFW without incident.

Everyone was masked; we felt safe even though we did have a masked stranger sitting next to us.

The operation at San Jose del Cabo Airport was quick, easy, and safe as well. Before immigration, we had our temperatures checked and were given a COVID questionnaire, which we completed; it was collected immediately after clearing immigration.

Upon arrival at Villa del Arco, all employees wore masks.  Our luggage was sprayed, and we stepped into disinfectant to clean our shoes before entering the lobby.

While other guests were not required to wear masks, many did.  Danny and I felt safer at Villa del Arco and even in downtown Cabo than we do at home in Arkansas. We now have no reservations about returning for Christmas and New Year’s!

The whole property looked cleaned and refreshed.  Drapes were new; air conditioner vents had been thoroughly cleaned, and our unit just smelled clean.

We appreciated the restriction on the number of people allowed in the gym at one time, and we liked having secured appointments. Even though other guests did not mask, we felt safe from COVID exposure due to distancing, sanitizing, and our masks.  I felt just as safe during my wonderful spa treatment.

Having spent 20+ fabulous weeks at Villa del Arco, this ranks as one of our most favorite.  The fantastic Villa del Arco staff and their safety protocols allowed us to unhook from COVID worries and to connect to the beautiful Lands End view while watching and listening to the soothing waves. #Gratitude
