Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto hosted the 2nd Annual Marlin Fishing & Golf Tournament Danzante Bay 2017 from July 27-29. This tournament consisted of two days of fishing and one day of golf. It brought together golf and fishing enthusiasts of all levels to compete amongst the unparalleled beauty offered by the pristine Islands of Loreto.
Eleven teams competed in the fishing tournament for three prizes. Here are the winners:
-First Place: Los Mayates team with a 25.3 pound Dorado won $5,000 USD.
-Second Place: Maros team caught a 279 pound Marlin winning them entry into a Bisbee’s Tournament this year valued at over $1,500 USD.
-Third Place: Los Primos team with a 14.3 pound Dorado won $1,000 USD.
Sixteen people participated in the golf tournament.
-First place: Ignacio Gutierrez won a certificate for 4 nights in a Studio at Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto (Valued at $1,500 USD).
-Second place: Paul Moreno won $500 USD and donated the money to Casa Hogar (a housing charity for youth).
-Third place: Cynthia Valdez won a golf bag, golf balls and golf glove customized with the Danzante Bay Logo (valued at $200 USD).
