Why plan an Oscar’s Award themed surprise birthday party in Hollywood when you can have Cabo San Lucas as your red carpet? The kickoff for my husband Tony’s 60th birthday extravaganza began at Villa Del Arco in Cabo San Lucas on Sunday, August 18th, 2019. The star-studded guest list arrived from as far as Brooklyn, New York to Los, Angeles, California. Our 51 guests, from ages six months to ages sixty and over helped to pull off the ultimate surprise.
It all began when Tony entered our lavish Three-Bedroom Penthouse, room 3401, at Villa del Arco. What more can an Oscar award nominee ask for you might say? That was just the premier to our award-winning celebration!
That evening, guests were shuttled in private vans from the hotel to Casa Amigos Restaurant where they dined on scrumptious tapas of tuna tartare, jumbo shrimp, short ribs, baby back ribs and open face pulled pork sandwiches, all while enjoying an open bar. The real surprise came when my unsuspecting hubby was greeted by his closest friends, family, and co-workers to help celebrate this momentous occasion.
What next, you still might ask? Well, on Wednesday, August 21st, partygoers lit up Medano Beach with an array of bright floral prints and leis as the ocean shore served as our red carpet! Yes, the paparazzi were on hand to capture each moment.
Now, for the final award in the category of the best resort and outstanding concierge team, the golden statue belongs to the Villa Del Arco staff. They were instrumental in planning this amazing surprise for a well-deserving husband! Thank you, VDA, for the award-winning service and allowing us to leave our memories and footprints in the sand!
This member won 2nd place for our last Member Story Contest, which consists of the following prize: 1 free week stay in a 1 Bedroom at Villa del Palmar Cabo or Villa del Palmar Puerto Vallarta and $200 in tour credits to be redeemed at the Activities office onsite ($100 per person).
