Cabo Resort Update: Green Leaders

We are pleased to announce that Villa del Palmar Cabo has been recognized by Trip Advisor as a Green Leader. This program has five tiers and all resorts must apply and met specific criteria to be recognized as a Green Leader. Once recognized by Trip Advisor as a Green Leader, resorts must reapply annually to ensure that they are maintaining the eco-friendly standards that they were originally recognized for.

In order to be deemed a Green Leader, resorts must meet the following requirements:

  • Have linen and towel re-use plans
  • Track energy usage on a regular basis
  • Use energy efficient light-bulbs
  • Educate staff and guests on green practices
  • Properly treat waste water by using an on-site or municipal sewage system

Once the above requirements are met, resorts are scored and assigned a badge level. There are five badge levels based on the resort’s level of participation in environmentally friendly practices. Villa del Palmar Cabo is recognized as a Green Leader Silver resort.

Once a resort is classified as a Green Leader on Trip Advisor, members and guests can see a full list of eco-friendly practices that the resort honors by clicking on the resort’s Green Leader badge on Trip Advisor. Travelers can provide feedback on these practices on Trip Advisor and this feedback is monitored to ensure that the Green Leader resorts continue to uphold their practices.

  1. But they need to work customer service , my air condition went out for two days before they fixed it , had to wait until 7 pm to check in my room – and I am owner -poor management , please contact me thanks Mark
