Eagle’s Wings Foundation Update: Hard at Work for the People of Mexico

Eagle’s Wings Foundation is the Villa Group’s sister charitable organization. It was founded by Villa Group partners and member Jim McCarthy to show appreciation and give back to the unforgettable destinations and their communities that members enjoy year after year.  Member donations have helped thousands of needy people in Mexico.

Members Max and Aida Grevstad donate a valuable violin to EWF Volcanes scholarship recipient Stephanie Ochoa.

Since its inception, EWF has facilitated and granted over $3,000,000 to many types of organizations:

  • Orphanages
  • Assistance for Mentally & Physically Challenged
  • Special Education Programs
  • Programs for the Elderly
  • Food Banks and Food Services
  • Public Library
  • Educational Facilities and Scholarships
  • Medical and Dental Clinics and Facilities
  • School Bus Maintenance
  • Day Care Centers for Underprivileged Children
  • Training for Autistic Children
  • Humane Society
  • Homeless Shelters
  • Thrift Store

During their trip to Cabo, private donor Amy Toson and her family distributed toothbrushes, soaps and other personal hygiene products to the elderly and local children in need.

In the last several months your EWF regional teams have been working on many activities including:   Toy drives and distribution of 600+ toys, working to open new thrift store where hotels donate used furniture and other items for sale as a fundraising source; scholarship programs for needy children, and coordination of private donations of musical equipment, medical equipment and dental and hygiene products (toy drive).

Private donors Diane and Greg Zarse worked with EWF to facilitate two large shipments of medical equipment such as wheelchairs and bed lifts to Pasitos de Luz.
