The 2016 Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore Tournament will be held August 3 thru August 5, 2016. Fishers are invited to compete and see what team can catch the heaviest Blue or Black Marlin.
Here is the schedule for this event:
TUESDAY, AUGUST 2, 2016 – REGISTRATION
- 3:00-7:00pm: Registration and distribution of Team Bags at the Hotel Buena Vista Beach Resort
- 6:00-7:00pm: Captains Meeting on the pool deck. Attendance by at least one team member is mandatory.
- 7:00-9:00pm: Kick-Off Cocktail Party
WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY-FRIDAY, AUGUST 3 – 5 – FISHING DAYS
- 7:00am: Shotgun Start.
- 7:00am-4:00pm: Tournament Fishing; lines must be out of the water by 4:00pm
- 7:00am-7:00pm: Weigh Station is open on the beach in front of the Hotel Buena Vista
SATURDAY, AUGUST 6, 2016 – AWARDS CELEBRATION
7:00-9:30pm: Awards Celebration on the beach in front of the Hotel Buena VistaThe Tournament Entry Fee is $1,500 USD per team of up to four members and includes merchandise for four team members. Registration is online and open until August 2, 2016 at 11:00 pm MST. Early Bird Registration is due by June 30, 2016 and all early birds get entered into a drawing to win a free entry to next year’s tournament.
In Cabo, the Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Spearfish, and Yellowfin Tuna are common catches. The Tournament gives away prizes to the top three teams for the heaviest weight of the Blue or Black Marlins caught. 70% of the fees used for registration cover the prizes that this Tournament awards; prize amounts depend on the number of teams registered.
