Many Universal Vacation Club Members find themselves asking this same question: “How can we support the local community, which has supported us so well?”
That is why the Eagle’s Wings Foundation was founded.
The Eagle’s Wings Foundation (EWF) is a nonprofit organization established by Villa Group and long-time Universal Vacation Club Member Jim McCarthy in California. The EWF provides support and assistance to individuals and families in the Mexican communities surrounding our vacation club resorts. The focus of the EWF is to provide basic needs today, not tomorrow.
Community Assistance Programs
The Eagle’s Wings Foundation supports programs and initiatives that provide essential goods and services to those in need. Examples include clothing, shoes, food, medical supplies, social visits for seniors, and medical treatments. While many of these projects may not get much media attention, the benefits to those receiving them are significant.
Personal Connection
Many Universal Vacation Club Members have a personal connection to the communities they visit, making it easier to support causes that are important to them. These causes are not distant ideas; rather, they are the very communities they walk through, dine at, and return to each year. As such, the sense of gratitude felt towards these communities often leads to a desire to give back.
Ways To Give Back
Universal Vacation Club Members have several options to contribute to the Eagle’s Wings Foundation:
- Direct Financial Contributions: Tax-deductible donations can be made directly to the EWF.
- Monthly Donations: Small monthly donations allow members to donate incrementally over time.
- In-Kind Donations: Food, clothing, and other essential items are welcome.
- Volunteer Opportunities: For those who want to be more actively engaged, opportunities exist to volunteer in the local community.
Regardless of how members choose to contribute, every donation will go toward supporting the people who help make their vacation experiences possible.
Invitation Only – No Obligation
There is no expectation or obligation to contribute to the Eagle’s Wings Foundation. Rather, there is an invitation to share some of the good fortune that comes from being a Universal Vacation Club Member. Every contribution, regardless of its size, goes toward supporting essential services in the local communities that many members view as a second home.
