Eagle’s Wings and Cruz Roja in Partnership to Help Puerto Vallarta Services
This fall, the Eagle’s Wings Foundation designated the Red Cross (Cruz Roja) Mexico, Puerto Vallarta Delegation as the official recipient of its 2021 Annual Fundraiser. Cruz Roja Puerto Vallarta sought out Eagle’s Wings help with a grant request for $24,000 for the remodel of its Urgent Care facilities. With your help both online via a GoFundMe Campaign, as well as from the in-person auction held at Villa Del Palmar Flamingos, we raised $39,000 and exceeded the grant request by $15,000!!
With the money raised, Cruz Roja will renovate two multipurpose rooms that are used for medical services, First Aid courses, and community meetings. The space will also be used for local fundraising to purchase medical supplies needed for the community. The project will include repairs to hardware, ceiling drywall, electrical wiring, air conditioning, waterproofing of the facilities, repair of bathrooms and upgrade to include emergency showers, ramp and compliance outfitting for the disabled, mold remediation and repair, complete renovation of meeting space, interior and exterior painting, and other important renovation projects.
The Red Cross is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers, that is dedicated to preventing and alleviating human suffering. It provides relief to victims of disasters and helps prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies with medical attention and services such as life-saving blood, health and safety services, trauma and general consultations, psychological services, and safety preparedness. The excess funds will be used to purchase tablets for the children of Villa Group resorts employees so they can remain connected and do their schoolwork during this extended period of uncertainty.
For more than 20 years, Eagle’s Wings Foundation (EWF) has helped the disadvantaged in communities surrounding Villa Group and Tafer Resorts in Mexico. It has given over $4,000,000 dollars in cash, in-kind donations, and matched Developer and government funds. Eagle’s Wings Foundation supports:
