Eagle’s Wings Foundation Update-Dia de los Ninos

Mexico observes Dia de los Ninos annually on April 30th to celebrate the well-being of all children. This day is filled with activities, special events and festivities for children. Every year, Eagle’s Wings Foundation delivers toys to children living in the neediest areas of Puerto Vallarta and the Banderas Bay to observe this special day.

This year, Eagle’s Wings Foundation is collecting toys from hotels and the community to distribute to children in Mexico. We are happy to announce that all of the Villa Group resorts collect toys for this event. We invite you to donate a new or gently used toy to the front desk at any of our resorts to make a child’s day. These toys will be driven and delivered to areas such as Lomas del Coapinole, Lomas de San Nicolas, Vista Hermosa, and Vista Dorada.

Last year 3,000 toys were distributed to the children in vulnerable areas of Puerto Vallarta and Eagle’s Wings Foundation hopes to exceed this amount this year. We are grateful for the support from the local community to help us brighten the days of many children. We look forward to working together for this good cause making many children smile again this year.

  1. Every time I come to Villa del Palmar, PV I bring a suitcase full of slightly used clothes and a few children’s stationery items. The PV staff always accept it with a gracious smile and I continue to hope it goes to the Eagle’s Wing Foundation or some orphanage. But … this last time (December 2015) when I was in Cabo at Villa del Palmar the staff there were very confused as to why I was bringing these items and who it should go to. It took many days and attempts to get through to them. Just suggesting that maybe the staff at the Cabo resort should be more informed. Thanks. Next time I’ll try to bring toys for the April distribution.

    1. Thank you for commenting, Laurie.

We appreciate your constant support of the Eagle’s Wings Foundation and thank you for your donations. I apologize for your experiences in Cabo with the donations and thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have shared your message with the General Manager at Cabo to ensure that all staff members are aware of what to do with donations for Eagle’s Wings. We are working on informing the staff now and assure you that you will see improvements in this service during your next stay in Cabo.

      Kind Regards,

      Brittany Blanscet
