VP Update – Experiencing New Places, New Memoires

Dear member, 

First off, I want to send you and your families well wishes during this holiday season and thank you for being a part of our Club family.  

As I reflect on this past year, one main thing stands out to me is where we have been and where we are going as a Club. Our vacation clubs started in the 1980s, serving vacation owners in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with just one resort. At that time, the world of vacation ownership looked different. Still, the quality level of exceptional service has always remained core to our foundation. As we grew into “new places” like Cabo San Lucas, Nuevo Vallarta, Cancun, and Loreto, getting our members to experience these places with us keeps us creating new locations for new memories. Now, we are still continuing to grow.  

2022 is looking to be a very exciting year for us! One of the most exciting developments on the horizon opening in January is our newest resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the highly anticipated Villa La Valencia resort. This Villa Group jewel will feature 309 well-appointed guest suites, a lazy river that will navigate through the resort property, several high-quality culinary delights, and the exceptional service our teams have delivered to our members since the 1980s.

The soft opening for Villa La Valencia will be January 8, 2022 for phase 1. This includes just over 200 rooms with restaurants to dine in; (La Taberna, Coralle Restaraunt and Bar, La Jolla Lobby Bar and room service), the spa for services only (non-wet areas), and the infinity pool. Phase 1 will allow members only to stay here (no hotel guests), which was done to allow the members visiting to experience the newest resort and allow the staff to engage the members.

Phase 2 of Villa La Valencia will open February 6, 2022. This will include the remaining guest rooms, adding in more dining options (Deli Cafe, El Patron), the Palmita Market, and the completed spa including wet areas along with the lazy river, kids pool, family pool, and adult pools, and kids club.

Phase 3 of Villa La Valencia will open February 26, 2022. During this phase we will add one last restaurant to the resort – Latitude 23.5 Steakhouse and Grill. Daily there will be activities programs from 8am-9:30pm for members and guests to enjoy, a schedule will be provided to arrivals. The construction team is moving and has been working through procurement challenges brought by Covid. Please note that all dates stated here are subject to change and depend on construction completion. I can’t wait for you to experience this newest addition to our resort family and look forward to hearing about all of your extraordinary vacation experiences here.

Additionally, our US based servicing company, ResortCom International, has been working hard to roll out new technology innovations, including the digital wallet, pre-check-in, customer service chat, and the members’ website. These tools have been in member beta testing to work out final details to launch. The members’ website will allow members to bank points, pay maintenance fees, and eventually self-book reservations to new places to create new memories. Please stay tuned for updated communication memos regarding these new enhancements to your member experience.
