Member Holly McGee recently traveled to Villa del Palmar Cancun following the government-mandated shutdowns that took place across the world. Below they share a brief recap of their extraordinary experience.
“Because of the Coronavirus, I had to cancel five or six planned vacations. As September got closer, I felt good about traveling and was anxious to get to Mexico. I love Cancun. I go every year, and it’s my favorite place. I have fallen in love with Villa Del Palmar Cancun and couldn’t wait to get back.
My husband had to work so I invited my girlfriend and I had a fantastic week in a beautiful 1-bedroom unit. Everything was very clean, all of the employees used facemasks, and I felt super safe there. During our stay, we only left the resort for one day, which was when we took a private boat over to Isla Mujeres for the day. We had a wonderful time there. We rented a golf cart and rode around the island.
Other than that, we just enjoyed our time at the resort. The pools were wonderful, the food was terrific, and our room was super nice as usual. My husband and I also own other timeshares, but none of them are as nice as the Villa properties—they are our favorite by far. We have stayed at Villa del Palmar Cancun, Cabo, and Loreto properties.
I love being in a condo unit instead of a hotel room. I love the convenience of being able to have some meals in the condo if desired. The Palmita Market is super convenient and we love the food served at the deli, as well as the restaurants.
There are always so many things to do. My friend and I painted a ceramic vase on this trip, and it turned out so cute! That was such a fun little activity. Mostly though, we relaxed by the pools and just enjoyed ourselves. Whenever I go to Villa Del Palmar Cancun, I know that I’m going to have a perfect vacation and I can”t wait to go back!”
