The Islands of Loréto-New Activities

Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loréto is devoted to providing all members and guests with exceptional vacation experiences. One of the ways that we do so is by providing all members and guests with a variety of activities that will allow you to relax and see the astounding beauty that the Islands of Loréto— a UNESCO world heritage site— has to offer. Keep reading for information on two of the newest activities that the Islands of Loréto offers.

Hooka Diving

Go beyond snorkeling and discover the beauty of the Islands of Loréto with Hooka Diving! Hooka Diving uses a floating air system that provides you with air through a long hose. You can swim as deep as twenty feet with this “Hooka” air system to see all the Aquarium of the World has to offer!

Our Hooka Diving experience will begin with a thirty minute safety briefing and Hooka instruction by a knowledgeable instructor that will teach you everything you need to know about this activity. Then, you will be able to swim with the Hooka equipment for 45 minutes and see the amazing ocean life that makes the Islands of Loréto such a unique destination. For members and guests that are experienced Hooka Divers, you have the option to skip the safety briefing and Hooka instruction. Beginner Hooka Divers will dive in the south corner of the cove at Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loréto and experienced divers have the option to dive at La Ventana reef, which is a thirty minute boat ride away from the resort.

The Hooka Diving Tour is available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am-11:30 am. Times are subject to change so please check with your concierge for the most current Activities Schedule. Participants must be at least 12 years old and be able to swim to engage in this activity. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Member Services at 800-852-4755.

LED Paddleboarding

Experience the “Aquarium of the World” at night while paddle boarding under a million stars! LED lights are strapped on the boards, allowing paddlers to see up to fifty feet around you. The LED lights also attract many ocean animals that can only be enjoyed during the evening, making this an unparalleled experience. Accompanied by an experienced guide, participants are offered an interactive way to explore the Sea of Cortez on the south of Ensenada Blanca!

LED Paddle Board tours include:

• Two hour guided tour
• Paddle boards with LED lights
• Life jackets
• Distress Whistle
• Wetsuit
• Portable radio
• Bottled water
• Towel
• Head lanterns, flashlights, and life rescue navigation light

Participants need to be 10 years or older. Hooka Diving and LED Paddle Boarding Tours are offered Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Time varies based on the season so please ask your agent for more details.

Other Activities Offered at Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loréto

Danzante Golf Course: Takes players through a variety of settings, including valleys, arroyos, foothills and dunes, with holes featuring stunning views of the Sea of Cortez, the majestic Sierra de la Giganta mountain range, the Danzante Bay and the surrounding Islands of Loreto. Open daily from 7:00 am-5:00 pm. Twilight rounds begin at 2:00 pm.

 

Our Bartending, Wine Tasting, and Tequila Tasting events teach members and guests how to make signature drinks and perfect their own mixology so they can share their talents with family and friends.

 

 

 

Aqua Aerobics, Paddle boarding, Snorkeling and Kayaking provide members and guests with an adrenaline rush while exploring the surrounding beauty near and on the resort.

 

 

 
Gym and Fitness Classes keep members and guests on track with their fitness goals while on vacation. Break a sweat in our gym or enjoy a fun fitness class such as Zumba to get your daily workout.

 

 

 

Entertainment shows feature acts such as Mayan Rituals, dancing, juggling, etc.

Kids in Paradise is our Kids Activities Club that features a variety of activities such as crafts, water games, and nature walks for children ages 5-12 years old. Activities occur from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm daily.
