  1. I love reading the updates in Loreto however trying to get there from the East coast is almost impossible, the flights and prices are outrageous. Wish we could see better deals on transportation. It looks so inviting.

    1. We live in Ottawa, Canada and flying with Westjet at a reasonable price. We have to overnight in Calgary both ways.
Going in February for 2 weeks. Jim

      1. Hi Jim,

Thank you for commenting. We look forward to seeing you at The Islands of Loreto soon! Wishing you a wonderful vacation!

    2. Hi Marianne,

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoy the updates. We are continuing to work on transportation deals to The Islands of Loreto. Please stay tuned.

    3. I fully agree with you Marianne. For us, since there aren’t any semi-direct flights, it usually means a stop over night in LA which can be very costly.

Have you thought about flying into San Jose del Cabo and driving up? The flights would be cheaper and I believe it is only a 2 1/2 hour drive.

      1. We stayed at the Villa del Palmar Loreto resort a couple of years ago and then went on down to Cabo San Lucas…by local executive bus. It is small bus holding about 12 people and stopping in only a couple of towns including La Paz, where we stayed for a week in a timeshare exchange, before catching another bus down to Cabo. Very reasonable price and you get to see the countryside without driving yourself. We booked in the bus depot across from where the shuttle into Loreto drops you off.

        1. Sue- Good information.-Thank you. Does this bus stop have a website for booking? I have been wanting to see Lapaz so would like to check out your idea before I go to Loreto again next year.- Dawn

    1. Hi Margaret,

Thank you for commenting. We look forward to seeing you at the Islands of Loreto soon! Wishing you a wonderful vacation!

  2. My family went to Loreto last year. I was beautiful! I love the beach: calm, gentle, readily available for kayaking, paddle boarding, and snorkeling and of course: swimming. My sister, her husband and I did our morning walk/hike on the mountain. It was spectacular.
This was our first time ever experiencing “all-inclusive”. To our surprise, it was great. we did not have to think about making meals, going grocery shopping, etc… Wow, what a relief!
The only thing that was limited to us was the food. We’re vegetarian, so it was a little limited. But my sister and her husband loved the food.
Activities for the my children (10 and 13) were limited. So, they had few moments for boredom. But all in all, my family loved the experience. We will be back for sure.

    1. Hi Kim,

Thank you for commenting. I have forwarded your feedback to the resort so that they can see if there is a demand for more vegetarian options and activities for children. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed Loreto and will be back!

  3. I would like to know, in regards to the weather, when is the best time of year to visit Loreto? Does Loreto tend to get hit with strong tropical storms as does La Paz and Cabo at times? Is there any opportunity for whale sightings at any time of the year?

    1. Hi Elizabeth,

During the summer months, Loreto’s temperatures range from 82F (28C) all the way up to 104F (40C), but generally run in the 90sF (30sC). From April to June, the Coastal climate brings temperatures from 65F (18C) to 82F (28C), and in the winter months, the climate cools to be 53F (12C) to 68F (20C). Hurricane season is from June to the end of November. In regards to the strength of a storm, it depends on the location that the storm is coming from. Usually, once the storm hits land the mountains stop the storm from continuing on. All of our resorts are built to withstand any storm that may come and we do have safety precautions in place should a storm arise.

Whale watching season in Loreto is from mid-December until the end of March. Loreto is known as home to the “aquarium of the world” as it houses over 899 species of marine life.

Please let us know if you have any other questions. We hope to welcome you to the Islands of Loreto soon!

  4. I love Loreto – and have made it my home unit – but I agree with Marianne – I am from the East – and it is almost impossible to fly to Loreto at a reasonable price – We have been there 3 times – and brought friends with us – we even took advantage of a 2 for 1 deal in February and did the whale watching – amazing – It would be great if you can arrange for these deals more often throughout the year and not only during winter season – Please keep working on flight deals from the East coast –

    1. Thank you for your comments, Marla. We definitely will keep working on flight deals to the Islands of Loreto.

  5. The All Inclusive Loreto resort is fabulous. It would be great if you could provide us with information on how to take a bus from Cabo or La Paz. Is this something we can arrange in advance? What about making a stop in Todos Santos? If the resort cannot provide this information or assist with the booking can you direct us to a website?
Per the previous comment, have you made any headway on interesting vegetarian and/or healthy menu options as offered in Cancun?
    Thank you.

    1. Hi Margarita,

Thank you for your feedback. I am forwarding your request to the resort so that they can email you with information about taking a bus from Cabo or La Paz.

    2. Hi Margarita,

Here is the information on the bus that I received from the resort:
The bus company’s website is http://www.autobusesaguila.com. The bus runs every day at different times from Cabo to La Paz and Cabo to Loreto. For more information about their schedule and to make reservations and pay online, please visit their website. If you want to make some stops and enjoy the views that Baja California Sur has to offer at your own pace, your best option is to rent a car. Our onsite rental car is Hertz and their website is http://www.hertzmexico.com.

Please let us know if you need any additional information and enjoy planning your vacation!
