If you are one of the many people who love to spend time in the water when taking a vacation, then you are most probably a fan of non-motorized water sports. Not only are non-motorized water sports lots of fun, but they are also great for helping you stay in shape on vacation and are a source of relaxation.
Fun, safe and free
Villa del Palmar Cancun provides members with lots of opportunities to experience non-motorized water sports such as kayaking and paddleboarding free of charge. You can borrow paddle boards, kayaks and snorkel gear to explore the Caribbean surroundings at your leisure. Our water sports team will instruct you how to use the equipment, and then you are free to enjoy and explore the waters that surround the resort as you wish. You do not need to be an expert, just basic swimming skills; these are activities for all members of the family.
Available from 10:30am to 4:30pm daily
Kayaks and paddleboards are available to borrow from10:30am until 4:30pm every day. If you need a demonstration, just ask a member of the activities team. Our youngest guests can also enjoy non-motorized water sports as there is an assigned slot in the kids program from 3pm to 4pm for children to learn how to paddleboard and kayak accompanied by their parents.
Recommendations
You are highly recommended to cover up while using the non-motorized water sport equipment to protect yourself from the sun. The sun’s rays are intensified by the reflection of the water, so you need to be especially careful. A waterproof sunscreen is essential as well as a cap to protect your face and top of your head. Rash guards and long-sleeved surf shirts are a great choice, particularly for children who love to spend hours in the water.
