Many of our Villa Group Resorts have recently added outdoor pickleball courts to continue to enhance your member experience. The new pickleball courts are a fun way to get a workout while socializing. Recently, pickleball has been increasing in popularity and is now enjoyed in more than sixty countries around the world. We invite you to partake in a fun pickleball match during your next vacation(s) with us to experience for yourself why the world is really coming to love pickleball! Please see below for pickleball information by resort so that you can arrive ready to partake in all the fun.
Villa del Palmar Puerto Vallarta
The pickleball courts here replaced the tennis courts and are located right by La Cantina Sports Bar. They are open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. Members and guests are asked to please check-in with the receptionist at the Gym prior to playing to ensure that there is court availability and make your reservation. You can bring your own equipment or borrow a racquet and ball for free from the reception area at the gym.
Additionally, every week there is a members’ only pickleball tournament. Please ask your Member Experience Creator upon arrival for this schedule. It is a great way to meet and interact with other members while getting your daily exercise in.
Villa del Palmar Cabo
The pickleball court here is located to the side of the gym. The pickleball court is available Monday thru Friday from 7 am to 8 pm and Saturday/Sunday from 7 am to 7 pm. Reservations are required one day in advance and are available for a one-hour increment per day.
If you bring your own equipment, playing pickleball is free. If you need to rent equipment, a rental fee may apply so please ask upon check-in for this information. If you need a partner to play pickleball with, you may check with the concierge at the Gym as they can pair you with others inquiring about a partner.
Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto
Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto has tennis courts with pickleball lines so that you may enjoy both tennis and pickleball games in one spot. These courts are located above the spa and are open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. Members and guests are asked to check-in with the receptionist at the Desert Spa prior to playing to ensure that there is court availability. Reservations are required. You can bring your own equipment and play for free or borrow a racquet and ball for no charge from the reception area at the Spa.
Please note that hours and pricing is subject to change at any time. We look forward to welcoming you back to your home away from home soon so you can play a friendly game of pickleball with us!
This is great news. Are there any plans to add courts at Nuevo Vallarta Flamingos for Pickleball? I know Estancia has a court but how can Flamingo guests play Pickleball?
Hi Dan,
Currently, Flamingos does not have plans to add pickleball.
HOORAY! So happy the Villa Group has embraced the fastest growing sport. We mentioned it five years ago in Loreto and lines were added there at the tennis courts. Where exactly are the outdoor courts at Flamingos?
Hi Linda,
Thank you for reading our newsletter and submitting your comment. Currently, Flamingos does not have courts.

When are the pickleball courts coming to Flamingos?
Hi Brenda,
Currently, there are no plans for pickleball at Flamingos but the management there is aware that members are asking for this.
Fantastic!!! Looking forward to playing with guests at Loreto! Pleased to hear that the Villa Group has acted on the suggestion to add pickleball play at these resorts.
Making Pickleball available at the resorts is GREAT. A comment/suggestion for Loreto. There could be lines for pickleball courts and moveable nets on each side of one of the tennis courts. Tennis nets are higher than pickleball nets and this arrangement allows the tennis net to remain in place and would be a back-stop for each pickleball court. Recently, late October, we had 12+ people up there for pickleball. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
Hi Andre,
Thank you for reading our newsletter and your feedback. We have passed this along to the Loreto Resort Management. Much appreciated!
I have been wanting to learn how to play. I am excited about having this available. Are rackets, balls available? Need to be purchased?
Hi Shirley,
We are glad to hear your feedback. Rackets and balls are available for rent or you may bring your own. Enjoy!
I will be traveling to Flamingos next year and would love to be able to play pickleball while on vacation there. Any chance they will have Pickleball at that location soon?
Hi Rochelle,
Our Flamingos resort does not have any plans to have pickleball there in the near future.
We will be staying at Villa de Valencia in Cabo. Can we go over to Villa del Palmar to play pickle ball?
Hi Kathleen,
Currently, the courts are reserved only for members staying at that particular resort.
That’s a stupid rule to have as there is NOTHING to do at Valencia. If you had a shuttle from Valencia to palmar, more members would stay at Valencia, which was a selling feature of Valencia. If you are a member, you should have access to the pickleball courts and restaurants, regardless of which resort you are staying at. Why would you make new resorts without pickleball courts?
Hi Diana,
Thank you for taking the time to read our blog and for sharing your feedback with us.
We understand your concerns, and we appreciate your input on the amenities and accessibility between our resorts. Your comments have been passed along to our management team for consideration.
