Spent a few weeks at Villa La Valencia in Cabo last fall. It was glorious! The infinity pool overlooking the ocean was gorgeous, the lazy river (the longest in Baja) was surprisingly wonderful (many people just floated around in giant inner tubes while drinking fruity drinks – but I got in a fantastic workout swimming against the current when it wasn’t too busy). The hotel fitness center was also great.
And we did some excursions organized by the hotel: a sunset sailing trip and a snorkeling trip.
The bus to San Jose del Cabo passed right in front of our hotel, roughly every 3 minutes (or so it seemed – we never had to wait), and got us into town quickly and cheaply. We were in town for Day of the Dead, which was a great time to be there. Amazing costumes!

Villa del Palmar Loreto was sure peaceful.
The blue whale tour was cool.
The gray whale encounter was epic.

A week that will forever be etched in my memory! The perfect time to visit Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto for a 4th of July celebration. The dinner at the golf course was a culinary masterpiece, with a view that was simply breathtaking! The property is a true masterpiece, with staff members who go above and beyond to ensure a fantastic stay! This is a magical place that we have been to year after year; we long to stay longer and go back. My kids define paradise as – Villa del Palmar, Loreto! The nature is gorgeous. The resort and staff enliven the senses. I love a challenge: world-class golfing, paddleboarding, fishing, and hiking, my family favorites. The amazing food is thoughtfully prepared and gets better with new ideas year after year and I yearn to bring all my friends and family to Loreto to experience it. Friends make the trip!
