The 2021 Island Time Music and Fishing Festival
The Island Time Music and Fishing Fest happens once a year; it is a music festival and fishing tournament held on the beautiful sands of Isla Mujeres. This year, the event will be held on February 24-27, 2021!
Don’t forget to pack your dancing shoes and be ready to enjoy a variety of music, from Jazz to Rock n’ Roll to Country, and more! An assortment of vendors and booths will be set up at the venue and ready to serve flavorful and delicious food, provide cocktails, beers, soft drinks, and more! The Island Time Music and Fishing Fest will also include other activities such as beach parties, wine tastings, gastronomic tastings, and a culinary show. Several chic and bohemian themed restaurants on the island will also serve authentic Mexican cuisine with a tasteful Caribbean twist.
The crystal clear, blue waters of Isla Mujeres are a fisherman’s paradise. The Island Time Music and Fishing Fest fishing tournament takes place during the winter season when Sailfish, Marlin, Mahi Mahi, and Wahoo arrive! Whether you’re a competitive fisherman or just looking to have some fun, this tournament is the perfect event for any angler. The four-day tournament finishes with an awards banquet, where all participants can feast on delicious food and fresh-caught fish.
Proceeds from this event are donated to the “Little Yellow Schoolhouse” School and are used to support the needs of differently-abled children and children with disabilities that stay on the island of Isla Mujeres. The goal is to help raise enough money so that the children can go to a correctly facilitated school free of charge and receive the proper support needed to learn and thrive.
Thanks to previous Island Time Music and Fishing Festivals’ success, the school now has over 50 students and six classrooms! New Inflatable Water Park at Cancun
Vacations at Villa del Palmar Cancun are about to get even better! We have now added a state-of-the-art, family-friendly water attraction right on the beachfront area of the resort. If you love playing on the water, or simply want to enjoy watching your kids play while you relax, this is the attraction for you!
Test your agility, balance, jumping skills, or enjoy a fun workout on this new inflatable ocean water park! This Wibit Sports brand aqua park features safe, soft, and fun inflatable toys, twisty balance beams, jumpers, slides, hurdles, and a bouncing center.
This water attraction is for members and guests ten years of age and older. It is open from 10:00 am – 4:30 pm daily. This schedule can change at any time with or without notice by the resort. Please see the hotel’s front desk for more details.
New and Improved Resort Umbrellas
Looking to lounge by the beach, pool, or around the resort but would love to take a break from the sun from time to time? Well, we have great news for you!
In an effort to continue providing world-class service and vacation experiences, we have now replaced 50% of our umbrellas with more easily movable and highly durable umbrellas.
These umbrellas are larger and have been designed to provide more shaded areas around Villa del Palmar Cancun, allowing more guests to enjoy sun-protected comfort!
Complimentary Covid-19 Testing at TAFER Resorts
