Start Your Vacation the Right Way!
We want your arrival to be smooth, welcoming, and as stress-free as possible. One of the most important ways you can help us make that happen is by ensuring that each reservation accurately reflects who will actually be staying in each room.
Avoid Fees and Confusion at Check-In
The Club’s goal is to balance an exceptional member experience with fairness and operational efficiency for everyone.
Effective immediately, when Elite members book multiple rooms using any contract names over the same dates (“concurrent reservations”), Elite and Welcome benefits will be applied in advance only to the primary reservation.
This includes:
- Room upgrades, if available
- Room pre-assignment, if available
- Welcome Amenities such as wine, flowers, and fruit, depending on Elite Tier
If a named contract member is staying in the second room, that room will still receive full Elite service.
However, Elite benefits may not be extended to non-members through the use of an alternate owner or contract holder’s name. Once the Elite member’s occupancy is verified at check-in, applicable amenities will be delivered shortly after arrival or within 24 hours.

What Is the New Process?
At check-in:
- The Elite Concierge or Front Desk will confirm the guests staying in each room. IDs/passports will be required for each room at check-in. To ensure guest security, personalized room key, legal compliance, the name on the reservation must match the official guest occupying the room.
- If the names on the passports do not match the reservation and the reservation must be changed to a non-contract name, a Guest of Member fee will be charged onsite.
- Elite members may use their benefit of one complimentary name change. If that benefit has already been used, a $100 name-change fee will be assessed.
- Advance room assignments and Elite amenities will apply to the primary room.
- Once the guests staying in the second room are verified at check-in, that room will be assigned and delivery of any applicable amenities for Elite co-owners will be scheduled. Delivery may range from immediately to within 24 hours, depending on resort occupancy and staffing.
- The second room will not be upgraded in advance unless occupancy allows. Every effort will be made to place rooms in the same building or close to one another, but exact locations cannot be guaranteed.
Why Is This Change Necessary?
Our resorts have experienced a dramatic increase in multiple reservations being made under a contract member’s name when, upon arrival, the person actually staying in the additional room is a Guest of Member.
Because Elite benefits are not transferable, this can result in guests receiving benefits for which they are not eligible. It also creates challenges that affect the experience of other members.
For example, upgraded rooms may become unavailable for other Elite members, room assignments may need to be changed at the last minute, guests may arrive at the wrong check-in counter, and Welcome Amenities that have already been delivered may need to be retrieved and re-delivered.
These last-minute changes create delays and unnecessary confusion at arrival — exactly what we want to avoid at the start of your vacation.

Our Goal: Fewer Onsite Fees and a Smoother Arrival
One alternative would be to allow non-Elite guests to remain in rooms that were pre-assigned with Elite benefits and then charge for the difference in room type, amenities, and additional staff time. Depending on the circumstances, those charges could range from hundreds to even thousands of dollars in order to offset operational costs.
Collecting substantial fees at the Front Desk can lead to delays and conflict in the lobby, impacting the arrival experience for members and guests.
Instead, the Club has chosen a simpler approach: delay the advance benefits for the second room until occupancy is verified at check-in. This allows us to avoid additional Guest of Member penalties beyond the applicable $100 name-change fee, while reducing confusion and delays.
What This Means for Elite Members
We understand that this process may mean a true Elite member does not receive an advance room upgrade on a second reservation because only the primary room will initially be pre-assigned.
Please remember that all Elite upgrades are subject to approval and availability. Elite members should always reserve the room size needed for the number of guests in their party.
During periods of lower occupancy, or in situations where Elite members are personally known to the resort team, it may be possible to assign the second room in advance.
Most importantly, this policy does not take away the benefits of a true Elite member over the course of the vacation.
If an Elite co-owner is staying in the second room, they will still receive the Elite benefits to which they are entitled according to their tier.

Protecting the Benefits You’ve Earned
This updated process is designed to discourage the practice of booking Guest of Member rooms under a contract member’s name in order to extend Elite benefits to individuals who are not eligible to receive them.
Our overriding goal is not to take benefits away. It is to better protect and preserve those benefits for the many loyal Elite members who have paid for and earned them.
Thank you for helping us keep the arrival experience smooth, fair, and enjoyable for all of our members and guests. We look forward to welcoming you on your next vacation!
