During their recent trip to Puerto Vallarta, the ResortCom Member Services Team visited three nonprofit organizations supported by the Eagle’s Wings Foundation (EWF). These included Fundación Andrea 321, which empowers children and young adults with Down syndrome and special needs; Impulso de Águila, which refurbishes resort donations to benefit families and promote sustainability; and Vallarta Cares (Alacena de Amor), which provides daily meals and essential support to those facing hardship.

After stepping into Fundación Andrea 321, I immediately sensed the warmth and dedication of everyone there. Their work supports children and young adults with Down syndrome and other special needs by offering therapies and resources to help them gain independence and lead more fulfilling lives.
Walking through the facility, I was struck by how much care and effort goes into every aspect of what they do. It’s more than just a service—it felt like a family. The team there works tirelessly to create opportunities that most people may take for granted, and their impact is profound.
Witnessing this reinforced how every small contribution from donors is making a real, tangible difference. My heart was full as I left, motivated more than ever to spread the word about what an important cause this is.

Visiting Fundación Andrea 321 was a deeply personal experience for me. That same morning, I learned of the passing of my aunt. However, as I walked through the foundation and saw the children receiving love and care, it brought me a sense of healing.
I remember one young girl in particular who had just been accepted into a school program thanks to the foundation’s efforts. Watching her joy and progress reminded me that amidst sadness, there is hope and strength to be found.

Items donated by resorts—like furniture and linens—are repaired, refurbished, and given a second life. These are then sold at affordable prices or donated to local families and smaller businesses in the community.
One moment I’ll never forget is watching the team at work, breathing new life into these items. This isn’t just about sustainability; it’s about creating a ripple effect that uplifts the entire community.
It was also a personal highlight to help translate for one of my colleagues. Being able to assist made my experience even richer and deepened my appreciation for the collaborative spirit of places like Impulso de Águila.

Walking into Impulso de Águila, I was struck by the sheer thoughtfulness of their work. Their approach is a full circle of support—resorts donate items, which are then refurbished and redistributed in ways that serve the environment and people in need.
It’s amazing to see how far this process reaches. Communities benefit from the materials, resources are reused instead of wasted, and families have access to necessary items at affordable prices. This visit left me inspired to speak with our members about the real-world impact of their donations.

At Vallarta Cares (Alacena de Amor), kindness is at the heart of every meal prepared and every smile shared. Watching the volunteers serve over five hundred meals a day was incredibly humbling. What’s more, they do it with so much joy; it felt like a celebration of community spirit.
One of my favorite moments was seeing children’s faces light up as they received bicycles in honor of Día del Niño. It wasn’t just about the gifts or food; it was about the love and care that went into every action.
