Thank you for being a valued part of our member family. We wanted to take a moment to remind you about government fees required in Cancun and Los Cabos. Please read the below to stay up to date on these fees so that you know what to expect and can arrive relaxed for your upcoming vacations.
Cancun Only Fees:
Government Environmental Fee: Please note that the Quintana Roo Muncipal Government charges an Environment Sanitation Fee to all resort guests in the amount of $26.06 pesos per reservation per night. This fee covers beach cleaning, water treatment, waste collection, reduction of carbon emissions with LED lighting, reef conservation, coastal wetland management, reforestation, and other sustainable programs. This fee is not covered by the annual Club maintenance fees, daily service fee, all-inclusive room rates or meal plan packages.
Visitax Tourist Fee: All travelers 15 years of age or older are required to pay a Visitax tourist fee of approximately $11.00 USD (or $224 Mexican Pesos) per person when visiting Quintana Roo. Travelers can pay this fee online or at the airport in Cancun. Payment can be done through this web portal ➡ visitax.gob.mx
Los Cabos Only Fees:
Environmental Sanitation Fee: Please be advised that the Los Cabos Municipal Government charges an environmental sanitation fee to all visitors to the destination in the amount of $33.68 pesos per room, per night.
These governmental fees are mandated by the local government; even though some of these fees may be collected by the resort, they are not affiliated with the resort or UVC International.
