September

  • Restaurant Week 2021

Definitely and undoubtedly, it’s one of the most looked-forward-to events in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit that happens annually. This year, the event will start on September 15, 2021, and ends on October 10, 2021. 

Restaurant Week delights all culinary connoisseurs and amateurs with delicious food for three consecutive weeks. Participants will visit recommended restaurants to taste innovative three-course meals. October

  • Doctor’s Day Race (3,5,10 KM)

Puerto Vallarta celebrates this day to honor the physicians, nurses, and health personnel with this Doctor’s day race. The event is celebrated on October 3rd and is the eighth time Puerto Vallarta has hosted it. More details can be found here 

November

  • Maraton Y 5 K PV 2021

This running race event started 17 years before and still counting. The event will take place on November 7th this year. So, if you are a part of it, you will be a part of a tradition. Click here for more details and registration. 

  • Festival Lights All Night (LAN)

The name itself is so exciting! This is Texas’ longest-running electronic music festival and this year it will be in Puerto Vallarta! This festival occurs November 4-7, 2021.  

This festival consists of four days of food and beverage, pool parties, snorkeling adventures, morning yoga and relaxation, tequila farm tours, and beach parties with a lineup of legendary DJs such as Justice and Nina Kraviz.   • 3rd Race Vallarta Neon Color

The event is a race with the theme of ‘color’ where participants will receive bags of neon dyes to have fun with while they run.   • International Marlin and Sailfish Fishing Tournament

The event runs November 10-13, 2021. The unique species of the marine fauna invites sports enthusiasts from all over the globe to practice sport fishing. The tournament has four categories making it one of the best tournaments in the Pacific. Click here for more info.

  • Festival Gourmet Internacional 2021

The festival occurs from November 12-20, 2021. Thirty chefs from all over the world gather here in one place to surprise your taste buds with innovative recipes. This year it will be more special with an absolute feast and celebration around wine, cheese, and jazz. This year the festival will also hold a polo tournament. Read more details here.  

December

  • 3rd Presentation Of the Sports Merit Awards

The event held on the December 4th this year and honors the sports highlights in Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay. In this event, you will be able to spot the leading sports characters and historical figures. Get more information here.  

Cabo

Cabo’s beaches, water-based activities, and nightlife adds to the popularity of this beautiful destination. There is something always happening in the resort city on the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula. 

July

  • Turtle Nesting Season

Are you a fan of wildlife? Then, July through September is the time  you must visit Cabo to see the turtles laying eggs. Sometimes the season starts as early as July but most commonly begins in August every year. 

  • East Cape Dorado Shoot Out

This is the largest fishing tournament in the Southern Baja and is a gem for people who love fishing. The average turnout of teams is about one hundred and thirty every year! This year’s event is scheduled for July 17th. For more information click here. 

  • Festival Del Mango Todos Santos

The festival of mango juice is celebrated in July, precisely the 31st of July this year. Taste juicy, ripe mangoes along with participating in activities such as dancing, polka bands, a horse parade, and artisanal products. Click for more information.

August

  • August East Cape Bisbee Tournament

This starts on August 3, 2021 and will conclude on August 7, 2021. It’s the first of the three Bisbee tournaments and anglers from all over the world come to East Cape. The anglers compete for the cash prizes and the sight is unforgettable. For more details, click here. 

 September, September-November

Apart from the events, the conditions of this time of year are ideal for scuba diving in Cabo. 

  • Independence Day September 16

Independence Day of Mexico is celebrated on this day in almost every part of Mexico. But, Cabo makes it even more special with its nightlife. Apart from it, parades and civil ceremonies are held, often followed by rodeos, bullfights, and other festivities. Click here for more information. 

October, October-February

The bird nesting season starts in October. So, if you are in Cabo, don’t miss out on the opportunity to see many beautiful species of birds.   

  • Cabo Comedy Festival

No specific dates were announced for this year’s festival, but it happens in October. It’s a series of days filled with a laugh when the comedians take up the stage. Your laughs and happiness bring happiness to others as well. As the portion of earnings is donated DIF Los Cabos, a charity for children and families. Click here to get the details.  

  • Billfish Tournament

The big games and the people come from all over the world to attend the renowned fishing tournament will begin October 10th this year. And, the event lives up to everyone’s expectations. For complete information, click here.  

  • Bisbee’ Los Cabos Offshore Tournament

The eager anglers compete in the tournament to top the previous year’s record in the annual tournament. The anglers fish for two days and compete for cash prizes. This year the event occurs October 14-17th. Cabo is definitely a place for Bisbee tournaments. Here are the details.

  • Bisbee’s International Black and Blue Tournament

With over $4 million prize money, this is the world’s richest billfish tournament and will occur October 19-23, 2021. So, if you are a fishing lover, you have to attend this event. No fish is as bigger and fruitful as the Cabo’s. For complete information, click here.  

  • Fiestas Tradicionale Cabo

The event takes place in honor of patron saint San Lucas. The event goes on for two weeks, and tourists enjoy the event as much as locals do. Keep your eye out for event dates as the month draws nearer. Here is the complete information. 

  • Iron Man

The event is a 2.4-mile swim in the Sea of Cortez, followed by a 112-mile bike course. But, that’s not the end, it has a 26.2-mile run after the bike course that travels along a 20-mile corridor.   • Los Cabos Gran Fondo

The cyclists take part in the mass riding event and enjoy the breathtaking views. The spectacular spots in Los Cabos make it even more interesting. Stay tuned for event dates by following their website here. 

  • Baja-Ha Cruisers Rally

Baja-Ha is a two-week cruisers rally from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas. The rally treats the participants to a comfortable ride down the coast with fellow sailors. Starting the end of October and going through early November, you are guaranteed awesome weather for this fun event. You can get more details here.

November-April

This period is ideal for surfing in the Pacific Ocean side of Los Cabos. 

November-February

This is the time when the whale shark migration season starts in the Cabos.  

November–May

  • Organic Market

This is the perfect time to visit Cabo for the shopping freaks. You can collect the local things here to add to your collection. The organic market features local products and art. Most of them are supplied by the community. 

November-June

  • San Jose Del Cabo Art Walks

In these months, every Thursday evening Jose del Cabo’s galleries invite guests to checkout their art work. During the Art Walk you can enjoy viewing art, sipping wine, meeting select artists, and dining at the fabulous neighborhood restaurants. For more information, click here. 

November: 

  • Day of The Dead Festival

The festival is celebrated on November 2 annually and is an important day in the history of Mexicans. The residents of Cabo, and families and loved ones pay their respects by creating spectacular altars. These altars are elaborately decorated with photos, candles, and food offerings.   • International Film Festival

Just as the name suggests, this festival honors the attracting directors, actors, producers, and national and international films. Undoubtedly, an outstanding event in Mexico where you can see talent. Here is the complete information.

  • VIP summit

December

  • Sabor a Cabo Festival 

“The Flavors of Cabo” is an International Gastronomy & Wine Annual Event. The event is arranged by the Restaurant Association and promotes the food and beverage scene in Cabo. Event dates to be announced soon. For more details, click here. 

  • New Year’s Eve Fireworks Medano Beach

The New Year is an amazing sight in Cabo. The sky comes alive with breathtaking views of  Médano Beach paired with  fireworks as you welcome the New Year. You can click here to learn more about the event.

Mid-December- Mid-April

If you are in Cabo in this period, you can enjoy the whale migration. 

Cancun

White sandy beaches and turquoise blue waters await you in this gorgeous city located on the Yucatán Peninsula bordering the Caribbean. Featuring natural places (like cenotes and beaches), Mayan culture, water activities, adventure, shopping, and more, there is always something happening here.  

July

  • Feast of Our Lady of Carmen

The port town of Cancun holds the annual regional fair that includes bullfighting and livestock exhibitions. Not just this, you can also enjoy sporting events, plenty of food, drinking, and dancing during this July 15th festivity. You can get the complete information here. 

August

  • Xel-Ha

  • Independence Day

  • Autumnal Equinox

October

  • Mexican Caribbean Travel Mart

In the first week of October, the Cancun Travel Agent Association and the Cancun Hotel Association hold their annual convention, and you can’t miss this. As a part of the festival is open to the public that showcases food and services offered in the area. Here are the details. 

  • Eve of All Souls Day

November

  • All Souls Day & Day of the Dead

On this day, families enjoy a traditional meal at the graves of loved ones all over Mexico. Furthermore, a variety of festivals are held in the area, during the first two days of November, which will be a unique experience for you. Click here.

  • Movie Festival

  • World Cup Triathlon

  • Anniversary of the Mexican Revolution

The locals celebrate the Mexican Revolution of 1910. The parades, speeches, and ceremonies, on the 20th of November, are a unique thing to experience as a tourist. 

December

  • Christmas Holiday

The holidays start in Cancun nine days before Christmas and end only after the new year. The residents make sure that they make the best of this time and they celebrate the season with a variety of street fairs, piñata breaking, passion plays called “pastorales”.
