Congratulations to the Club Caribe Team for another successful Annual Members Meeting!
The 2016 Club Caribe Annual Members Meeting was a great success. Our theme was “A Roaring 20’s Extravaganza” and the events truly captured the mood of this golden age of luxury and abundance.
We welcomed more than 100 participants this year to a meeting that offers opportunities for members to meet their Club and resort representatives as well as catch up with old friends and new. Meeting packets and gifts are provided to each member; this year’s conference gifts were beach bags and “dress up” beads, feather headbands, spats and fedoras that corresponded to the Roaring 20’s theme. With two days filled to the brim with events, the members left informed, enlightened, entertained and well fed.
The Annual Meeting itself is a business meeting designed to hold elections and present important information to the membership in attendance. The meeting featured updates from the President, Club Director, and the resort to discuss the Club Caribe membership.
The Villa del Palmar Cancun staff truly outdid themselves creating two outstanding parties. The first was a welcome cocktail party. Guests were taken by surprise to be secreted away through the back of the kitchen and down the freight elevator into a Prohibition-style “Speak Easy.” The scene was complete with torch singers, illegal gaming, plenty of bootlegged liquor and the threat of a raid adding to the fun. The second stellar occasion was a sumptuous “Great Gatsby” grand finale dinner party featuring lavish food stations, song and dance numbers set to period music, and stunning art deco décor that transformed the venue into a Gatsby-esque mansion spectacular.
