Last month the Cabo San Lucas resorts hosted Wine Spectacular-a full month featuring exclusive wine events for members and guests. Read more about the delectable experience below.

Wine Spectator Seminar and Mexican Wine Tasting

On September 5, 12 and 19, Villa del Palmar Cabo & Villa del Arco hosted Mexican Wine Tasting to celebrate their restaurants that have received the Wine Spectator Award. Wine enthusiasts tasted wines and learned how the award-winning wine lists were paired with the restaurant menus. All three of the Villa Group Resort specialty restaurants in Cabo San Lucas hold the Wine Spectator Award, this prestigious recognition acknowledges restaurants who offer only the best variety of fine wines in the world.

Cheese, Bread and Wine

On September 6, 13 and 20 Villa del Arco hosted Cheese and Wine events at El Patron Restaurant.

Members and guests tasted a variety of Mexican wines from the principal winemaking regions accompanied by a variety of local and imported cheeses and homemade breads. There was live music, a show of regional Mexican dances, and Winemaker representatives to answer any questions regarding the wine. All led by Sommelier Victor Medina.

We had the participation of wine producers from Baja California, Chihuahua, Coahuila and Guanajuato, with a selection of sparkling, white and red wines from the best regions of Mexico. Members and guests had the opportunity to taste the selection of cheeses prepared by chef Jorge Salas who present the flavor of the region and fresh homemade bread for the occasion. The pairing was a delicious surprise to many members and guests, who for the first time tasted Mexican wines paired with regional cheeses.

Five Course Menu Pairing with Mexican Wines

On September 7, 14 and 21, Villa del Arco held a cocktail party at Neptune Restaurant to introduce the resort chefs. After the cocktail party, members and guests enjoyed the culinary creations of the Villa Group Chefs from Neptune, Casona, Patron and Bella California, paired with wines from Mexico that perfectly complimented each course. The amazing picturesque views of Land’s End and the atmosphere made it an unforgettable experience for all.
