Fall is such a festive time to visit our resorts. With October and November approaching, members and guests will have the chance to participate in fun events while experiencing the Mexican culture. Whether you are planning your visit during Halloween (the spookiest time of the year) or the Day of the Dead (a celebration held to remember those who have passed), you are in for an unforgettable experience. Dress as a Catrina, participate in a colorful costume contest, enjoy trick or treating, or, perhaps, listen to some Mexican music played by the local musicians – there is a lot of fun ahead of you!
So how can you spend the celebrations at our Villa Group Resorts? Here are a few ideas.
Villa Group Los Cabos
Have you ever seen a Dia de Los Muertos altar? The Villa Group Los Cabos will hold a contest, looking for the most unique and beautiful one, with the staff building the altars and member and guests serving as the judges. At the time of Die de Los Muertos, members and guests are encouraged to view the final exhibition of altars, which will take place in the Tomatillos area.
The same goes for Halloween – get ready for a fun costume contest (are you prepared to bring out your inner designer?), a frightening horror show, and a delicious monster buffet.

If you happen to stay at Villa del Palmar Cancun during Halloween, you are in for a treat (literally!). The family-friendly beach oasis has some exciting activities planned for the pumpkin holiday. Starting from the morning, your little ones will have the chance to participate in the celebration hosted by the Kids Club. Making their own monster craft, watching some horror movies and having a blast, playing musical chairs – these are just a few things on the list.
After your child has had an adventure-filled morning, prepare your best costumes and join the resort’s trick or treat tour. At the end of the day, challenge yourself in the costume contest, where the public will decide which costume has been the best. A winner gets a spooky surprise, one that is well worth the effort!
To taste a truly terrifying Halloween buffet, make sure to stop by the Caphrichos restaurant. From 5:30 to 10 pm, the hotel’s staff will be ready to serve you with their best costumes. So be prepared to get spooked!
Day of the Dead
In honor of the special day, admire the beautiful memorial altar located in the lobby of Villa del Palmar Cancun. Later in the evening, satisfy your inner foodie at Caprichos – there, you will get the chance to taste an incredible Mexican buffet. Like a cherry on top will be the wonderful Las Catrinas show. Enjoy the voice of the “3 Marias”, who will showcase the most impressive songs of Mexico.

When was the last time you went to a proper Halloween party? This year, Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto is surely the place to be at. With many activities offered, it will be a perfect destination for all Halloween fans out there. at 6 pm on Halloween, join the Scary Halloween Buffet. After that, continue your celebration with an exciting themed show hosted by the resort.

For anyone curious about the Mexican culture, experiencing Dia de Los Muertos is a true must, and there is no better place to do it than Villa del Palmar. On the 1st November, join the indigenous Mexican buffet, and after that – discover the Coco Show that will surely be an unforgettable experience. On the second day, try the traditional dishes of Mexico at The Market. As soon as you’ve filled your tummy, explore all the other activities offered to members and guests. Take part in an altar contest, join margarita & tequila lessons, and end your night with a Mexican Fiesta. Sounds perfect, doesn’t it?

One of the best ways to celebrate Halloween is having a cozy night in and watching your favorite scary movie. But, if you are not too into horror movies, don’t worry! There are plenty of flicks to choose from that will be more funny than scary. Here are some of our favorites: “The Addams Family”, “Parasite”, “Poltergeist”. Don’t forget to order room service!
Day of the Dead
Celebrating the Day of the Dead and not dressing up as a Catrina (a figure of a woman skeleton) at least once in your life is a true crime. If you are struggling with outfit ideas, look through Youtube and Pinterest, and you will surely come up with something creative. All members and guests are strongly encouraged to bring out their best costumes, so get in the action and simply have fun!
Villa del Palmar Flamingos
Halloween
During the spooky celebration, Villa del Palmar Flamingos will become a fashion mecca. Well, at least a Halloween fashion mecca. Members and guests are welcomed to show off their best costumes, and, perhaps, you might even catch a glimpse of the Villa’s employees, striking their best poses in colorful and unique outfits. There will be an International Buffet Dinner, with a live Rock band, open bar, and costume contest on Halloween. Don’t forget to take some photos and get in the holiday spirit!
Day of the Dead
What makes the Day of the Dead so fun is the fact that Mexico becomes a colorful playground filled with all kinds of decorations. On November 2nd, the resort will have a Mexican Buffet, open bar, and Pre-Hispanic theme night show.
