The Malecón (Boardwalk)

The Malecón is the center and heart of Puerto Vallarta. There are a large number of outstanding sculptures by Mexican artists, most of which have been donated by artists as a permanent art exhibition. In this area you will find restaurants, bars and nightclubs to satisfy every age and taste. At the south end of the Malecón in Puerto Vallarta daily professional shows are presented by street artists.

Clowns and mimes also perform on The Malecón. This place has become a representative outdoor theater called Los Arcos, right in front of the main Cathedral. Daily shows are presented after 6 pm and viewers can give voluntary donations to the performers, if desired.
